A celebrated organization devoted to musical excellence, personal growth for students, and representing our community with pride.

BAND CAMP 2026 INFORMTATION!
STARTING JULY 13, 2026

This document is a one-stop shop for a lot of band camp information and what you can expect, especially if you have not done this before! We will be heavily relying on our student leadership team and student mentors to help with our new members; they'll be your first step for a lot of student questions and they are here to help along the way. The linked document will be updated with more information as we get closer to camp.

Our 6th Annual Mattress Fundraiser!
Saturday, July 25th, from 10am-5pm

Decatur HS Band is hosting its 6th Annual Mattress Fundraiser on Saturday, July 25th, from 10am-5pm. This may sound weird, but it is the best way to buy a new mattress because the prices can’t be beaten, the brands are the same as retail stores, and every purchase benefits the Band. Also available are adjustable power bases, premium sheets, mattress protectors, and CordaRoy’s Convertible Chairs! Please help to spread the word! More information can be found here: Facebook Event LinkWatch this video!

Please share this flyer with your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers to help us raise funds that directly support our students through instruments, equipment, uniforms, travel opportunities, and an exceptional band experience.

DHS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Bravo to the DHS Symphony Orchestra, the district's first, for their performance and results at the Georgia Music Educators Association's Large Group Performance Evaluation. The DHS Symphony Orchestra received perfect scores from all judges across all captions. Under conductors Mrs. Rosie Riquelme-Antunez and Dr. Ira Jenkins, the orchestra is comprised of the Wind Ensemble (top DHS band) and the Mastery & Advanced Orchestras (top two DHS orchestra classes). This achievement was the perfect crescendo to Music In Our Schools Month® (MIOSM®).
