Graduation Performance Information GRADUATION INFORMATION All non-Senior Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band students are required to perform at Graduation. Concert Band students are welcome to join us, as well! This is an incredible opportunity for our Band to serve as the soundtrack in the lives of hundreds of young people (and their families) as they prepare for their next step in life.
AFTER SCHOOL REHEARSAL – WED MAY 25 – 3:45 to 4:45 PM We will rehearse after school on Wednesday, May 25 from 3:45 PM to 4:45 PM. Pizza will be provided afterward! This is a required/graded rehearsal for all participating students and is necessary to synchronize students from three different classes.
GRADUATION DRAFT SCHEDULE – THURS MAY 26. Here is a draft schedule for Thursday, May 26. I am waiting on confirmation from the administration on a few details, but this should be fairly close to our final schedule.
DRAFT Schedule, May 26 Marching Band Leadership and Percussion Arrive @ 3:15pm All Students Arrive at DHS @ 3:45pm Sound Check in Stadium @ 4:15pm Dinner Break and Change into Concert Attire @ 5:15p Seated in Stadium and Tune @ 6:15p Begin Prelude Music @ ~6:30p Ceremony Begins @ 7p
GRADUATION – WHAT TO BRING AND WEAR BRING: A BIG water bottle, a bagged dinner, and sunscreen.
WEAR: Please wear "business casual/dressy nice" attire. Dress shirts/blouses, button-ups, polos, khaki pants, dresses past the knee when seated, etc. Please have your entire stomach covered. Please use discretion and air on the side of more coverage. You may wear your black concert attire if desired, but you are not required to wear all black.
PLEASE DO NOT WEAR: Shorts, flip flops, sneakers, t-shirts, jeans, or athletic clothing. |

Decatur Band Joins Kroger Community Rewards
The DHS Band is now part of the Kroger Community Rewards Program!
- Go to the Kroger website.
- Log into your account.
- Search for "Decatur High School Band Parent Association" by name or by the code UJ255.
- Click Enroll.
If you don't have a Kroger account, you can create one with some basic information and a valid email address.
