Due to damage of the DHS field, we will be using Ebster Field for some of marching band camp.

It takes a village to make DHS Band Camp a success! Volunteers and band camp snacks/supplies are needed.  Click here to view opportunities and to sign up. Note: you must be logged into your parent account to sign up to volunteer.

If you are a new band member, the above uniform price includes marching shoes and a track jacket. Students will be required to buy a second pair of shoes or jacket, if required due to loss or size.

 

Financial aid: Form is due to DHS BPA by June 1st, those applying for aid will be notified of decisions by June 15th. Click here for details.

Band Camp Dates 

All students in Marching Band - musicians and color guard - must attend band camp at the Decatur High School.  Please mark your calendars NOW. There may be changes in location and time as the field space dictates. You will be made aware of any location or time changes prior to that happening.  Attendance is mandatory!

Musicians & Color Guard

Required for Band Camp!!

  • WATER BOTTLE/ WATER JUG (YOU MUST HAVE WATER ON THE FIELD)
  • MEALS:  ALL Students must bring dinner for camp.  Dinners will be provided Thursday, July 19th and Friday, July 20th in which case all students will need to bring a lunch these days.
  • SUNSCREEN (Bring plenty and plan to use it!)
  • Hat covering the top of your head
  • Sunglasses
  • BRING YOUR INSTRUMENT!
  • Pencil, paper, and a 1-inch binder with page protectors
  • Bug spray - optional
  • Clothes to reflect themes listed above
  • Wear tennis shoes/sneakers to all practices.  Flip-flops, open-toed shoes, boat shoes, or any other shoes that doesn’t support the arch of your foot are not acceptable
  • Color Guard - White Tee Shirt - required to wear a white tee shirts beginning Thursday, July 19
