2018 Marching Band Camp Info Packet

 

To register your student for Marching Band Camp please Log in and go to My Account, My Forms.  You must be registered as a user on this website before registering for Marching Band Camp.

You may pay your Marching Band Camp dues at one time or use the payment schedule listed below:

If you are a new band member, the above uniform price includes marching shoes and a track jacket. Students will be required to buy a second pair of shoes or jacket, if required due to loss or size.

*Financial aid is available.  Financial aid applications are handled confidentially and are not submitted electronically.  Please contact the Band Parents Assn president(s) at decaturband@gmail.com  or Mr. Truan at rtruan@csdecatur.com for Financial Aid information.

 

Band Camp Dates 

All students in Marching Band must attend band camp at the Decatur High School field/band room.  Please mark your calendars NOW. There may be changes in location and time as the field space dictates. You will be made aware of any location or time changes prior to that happening.  Attendance is mandatory!

Please note - GHSA’s heat restrictions may push back practice times in August.  Mr. Truan will let you know ASAP when these situations occur.

 

Required for Band Camp!!

  • WATER BOTTLE/ WATER JUG (YOU MUST HAVE WATER ON THE FIELD)
  • Students must bring a sack dinner July 16, 17, 18
  • Dinners for July 19- 20 will be provided.  Students need to bring a lunch on July 19-20
  • Students must bring sack dinners for the week of July 23
  • SUNSCREEN (Bring plenty and plan to use it!)
  • Hat covering the top of your head
  • Sunglasses
  • BRING YOUR INSTRUMENT!
  • Pencil, paper, and a 1-inch binder with page protectors
  • Khaki shorts, white shirt, and predominately white tennis shoes for the Preview Show
  • Bug spray - optional
  • Clothes to reflect themes listed above
  • Wear tennis shoes/sneakers to all practices.  Flip-flops, open-toed shoes, boat shoes, or any other shoes that doesn’t support the arch of your foot are not acceptable
